TRAIN CLUBS
The AV N' Scalers was founded in August of 1994. The first meeting was held at
the Lancaster, Ca. Library.  The NTRAK modules are used to build large display
layouts as well as home and club layouts.
The Southern California Traction Club was founded in October 1995 by five trolley
modelers. The club is a modular group that operates electric railway vehicles from live
overhead wires.  The Southern California Traction Club currently has members from as far
north as Pasadena, CA; as far south as Laguna, CA; as far east as Covina and as far west
as Tokyo, Japan.
The '20s & '30s Modular Model Railroad recreates the Golden Age of railroading
modeled in 1:87 HO scale. The club sets up at public shows in Southern California about
six times a year.
The Pomona Valley Model Railroad Club got its start in 1959 under the name of West Covina
Brotherhood of Model Railroaders.  The original Club was located in West Covina moving to San Dimas
a short time later.  In 1977, the club moved to its present location where the layout has evolved to its
present configuration today.
Riverside Live Steamers  During the past forty years, RLS has greatly expanded the original
railroad to more than 10,000 feet of track, built three buildings and the station. With the cooperation of
the city, six additional cars were built in 1972.
The Golden State Model Railroad Museum (GSMRM) consists of 10,000 square feet of
O, HO and N scale model railroading. Inside the Museum, you will find three large model
railroads, constructed and operated by the East Bay Model Engineers Society (EBMES).

The Antelope Valley Model Railroad Club was founded in early 1983 as the
Alta Vista Model Railroad Club to promote the hobby of model railroading in the
Antelope Valley.  Membership is open to anyone with an active interest in railroads
and modeling.
The Tehachapi Loop Railroad Club is open to all railroad enthusiasts, whether modelers of HO, G, N or
Z, fans of Lionel and American Flyer, standard gauge travelers, historians, artists, photographers, collectors of
memorabilia, dreamers: anyone wishing to share in the Spirit of Train Faire.
Joshua Tree Southern Railroad Museum We feature fully operational 7 1/2" gauge,
15" gauge, and G-scale trackage amid the rocks, sagebrush, trees, and cactus. Although
the 7 1/2" gauge is designed and built with a narrow gauge prototype in mind -- all
railroaders with equipment operable on 7 1/2" gauge track are welcome and indeed
encouraged.
Cajon Division We are organized as the Cajon Division in the Pacific Southwest Region of the National
Model Railroad Association®. The Cajon Division encompasses Nevada counties of Clark, Esmeralda,
Lincoln and Nye and California counties of Inyo, Mono, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino.

The National Model Railroad Association's Directory of World Wide Rail Sites is a categorized listing of
prototype and model railroading websites from around the world. From official manufacturer and railroad
industry sites to those created by folks who just love the hobby, we cover them all. But we only cover websites!
Plus we're always adding more.
The Pasadena Model Railroad Club operates the Sierra Pacific Lines, one of the largest HO Scale
operating Model Railroads in the world covering almost 5000 square feet. The railroad has over 30,000 feet of
hand laid steel rail. The 1700 foot single to quad track mainline with ten cabs allows for operating of up to ten
30 foot trains (up to 60 cars long). Yard panels throughout the railroad allow for operation of another 15 to 20
trains. We've even got 300 feet of traction for trolley and Pacific Electric enthusiasts and in fact are looking for
people who would be interested in expanding our traction operations.
The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum (LALS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit
corporation that was founded in 1956 by train enthusiasts for the purpose of educating people in railroad
history and lore and to further the avocation of live steam, gas-mechanical and electronic railroad
technology. We operate our 7½" gauge model trains for the general public free of charge from 11 am - 3
pm every Sunday (weather permitting) except for the Sunday before Memorial Day and the first Sunday in
October. The gate is open from 10:30 am to 3 pm. Train rides begin at 11 am. Passengers must be at
least 34" in height and weigh under 350 lbs. to ride
The members of the Lancaster and Northwestern Railroad Club in the high desert Antelope
Valley of California (primarily the communites of Lancaster, Palmdale, and Quartz Hill) are devoted
primarily to modeling and operation in garden scale. Several members have operational outdoor
layouts while some run their trains in a garage and others are still dreaming. The club members meet
monthly on the first Friday for business meetings and show and tell. Meetings are held at various
member homes. Each May and October the club exhibits its modular layout at the Lancaster Chamber
of Commerce Swap Meet most recently held at the Hangar or Clear Channel Stadium in Lancaster.
